Introducing LucanArt: The artist transforming Bournemouth's urban landscape

Nestled on the southern coast of England, the picturesque town of Bournemouth has long been a haven for sunseekers and holidaymakers. However, beyond its stunning beaches and bustling promenades, a hidden artistic treasure has been quietly weaving its magic into the town's urban fabric. If you've strolled through the vibrant streets of Bournemouth, you might have caught glimpses of an enigmatic name gracing the city's walls – Lucanart. This is the moniker of Miroslav Lucan, an artist whose creative journey has transformed Bournemouth's public spaces into a canvas of colours, stories and wonder.

For the past two decades, Miroslav Lucan has called Bournemouth home, infusing his Czechoslovakian roots with the coastal charm that surrounds him. His artwork, a testament to the fusion of cultures and experiences, brings together the vibrancy of street art with the nostalgic allure of the seaside. From intricate architectural marvels to whimsical marine-inspired creations, Lucanart's portfolio is as diverse as the town it adorns.

His latest work includes the tunnel connecting Bobby's to Bournemouth Gardens, and the newly completed children's waiting room at the Emergency Department of the Royal Bournemouth Hospital.

As a teaser, we won't divulge all the details, but there's an exciting solo exhibition on the horizon this autumn. To stay in the loop, be sure to track Lucanart's journey through his social media channels.
