Pennant People
The Pennant People draw inspiration from the classic American felt pennants that historically celebrated US colleges and sports teams, but with a modern twist. They design unique pennants that celebrate female empowerment, key workers, small business owners, skateboarders, 80s movies, coffee, cats, and much more.
The shop was created by two friends who shared a love for hiking, design, and flea markets, and who were looking for a creative project to collaborate on. Emma is a talented artist who previously worked as a merchandising manager/designer at L’Oreal in London, while Sarah lived a work/travel lifestyle in Australia before settling in Dorset and running her own family printing business. After brainstorming during many lockdown hikes, The Pennant People was born in early 2021.
Together, they design, handmake, and print their pennants in-house, creating unique and personalised pieces that act as a keepsake of a favourite place or showcase a positive motto. The Pennant People's pennants are made to make you smile, evoke feelings of nostalgia, and add a cool factor to your space.
